Complete House History - Ideal for the Homeowner
For those who would like to have a narrative of their home, packaged in a custom three-ring binder, the complete HouStory will exceed your expectations. This report includes a contextual assessment of your house in relation to the history of the city of Long Beach and the surrounding neighborhood at the time the house was built. It then delves into the lives and careers of the original builder and/or architect, the original and subsequent owners. Physical changes to the tract, lot and house itself are reviewed.
Where possible, early or published photos of the house are retrieved. Included in this HouStory are copies of historic photographs (people and places), newspaper clippings, obituaries, grant deeds, building permits and tax assessor records. Fixed price will be provided at the start of the project, but typically a single family home is $750 + expenses of about $40.

Photo and Factsheet - Framed Piece
For the client who wants a beautiful tribute to their home, complete with a professionally produced photograph.*
This product will provide the year built, the style, the architect and/or builder, original owners, plus any interesting or newsworthy events pertaining to the home's history.
All records affiliated with the above facts will be included in a separate binder.
This is a great resource or thank you gift for the real estate industry. Price is based on time and materials. An estimate will be provided before starting work. [typically the price is about $400].

For those clients who need to find a specific bit of information or historic photographs, arrangements can be made for hourly consulting. Some clients suspect their home was moved and would like supporting data. Others believe a significant event or person lived in their home and would like proof. Is there a poltergeist or friendly spirit roaming your halls? A history dossier might shed some light on this.
